Plant Health Care Technician

Description:
- Serve as a plant health care technician by monitoring, evaluating, reporting, and treating the trees and shrubs on our clients’ properties.
Requirements:
- Have an appreciation for trees.
- Report for work on time each day, ready to work a full day. Be reliable and accountable.
- With the help of the PHC Manager, learn to perform the following functions of the Integrated Pest Management program: scheduling, inspections, sampling, treatments, equipment maintenance, record keeping, and client relations.
- Follow directions from the designated supervisor or arborist representative.
- Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
- Participate in all safety training sessions offered. Ask questions and improve job safety skills.
- Understand and follow directives on all pesticide and fertilizer work orders.
- Communicate well with crew leader, client, and arborist representative.
- Interact regularly with clientele in order to ensure job satisfaction.
- Strive to improve job skills, increase versatility, and advance within the company.
- Be prepared to work as a member of a tree care crew, under the crew leader’s supervision when necessary.
